It’s Friday evening again, which means it’s the end of a terrible, long, exhausting day. It also means I’ve gotten terribly overdressed yet again for Friday night dinner with my husband. Mascara, Chanel No. 5, and a pencil skirt have managed to make me feel slightly less gross and exhausted. I’m hoping to follow this up with large amounts of cheese and wine. We’ve been trying to eat healthier, so there’s been a serious lack of cheese in my life this past week.
Last night I dreamed of cupcakes. Yesterday, Geoff surprised me with a blog for my future imaginary bakery, Treatsies. He followed it up with a Twitter account, so that when this future imaginary bakery becomes a a present reality, nobody can steal my name. This gesture really moved me. He takes my crazy dream very seriously. He’s always coming up with ideas, offering to help with the website, and looking online for second hand Volkswagen vans. One of the reasons that I fell in love with this man is because he makes it seem like everything is possible. If he has doubts about what we can accomplish, he never shows it. The queen of self-loathing needs someone like that in my life.
So, in the future, look forward to posts from http://www.treatsies.blogspot.com/ . There’s nothing there yet, so don’t get too excited. I will probably work on it tomorrow. Also, follow us on Twitter @TreatsiesBakery . If you’re in Taichung, spread the word to your friends that I will bake for them if they so desire.
Bring on the weekend. Can’t wait to get a glass of wine in my hand.
